AIPI introduces our newest specialty: orthopedic spine surgery

Published January 26, 2022

What is orthopedic care?

At AIPI we work to give our patients the highest quality care and effective pain relief. That's why we're adding a new specialty: orthopedic spine care for personal injuries.

Our team includes board-certified orthopedic surgeons in South Florida who are affiliated with area hospitals such as JFK Medical Center.

Orthopedic care focuses on the musculoskeletal system: muscles, bones, joints, ligaments and tendons.

For some injuries, interventional pain management isn't enough, and our orthopedic surgeons step in to help with your care. They diagnose and treat injuries to the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine caused by personal injury. Their goal is to reduce pain, improve function and stabilize degeneration so you can get back to your daily activities.

Common surgical procedures at AIPI

Injuries from accidents often show up in muscles, joints or bones, and some can damage the spinal cord. These are serious on their own and can affect other parts of your health, so it's important to have an orthopedic specialist assess and treat them promptly.

Common surgical procedures at AIPI include:

  • Lumbar microdiscectomy
  • Lumbar laminectomy
  • Lumbar fusion
  • Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF)
  • Cervical artificial disc replacement
